I do not know how to begin telling all my business associates about Independent Bank. I was using a credit union for my business account and from the same day I opened it I had nothing but problems. Had hidden charges every where on my statement and deposit conflicts, merchant account problems and bank statements always late. I switched to the Independent Bank in my town and it was the best business decision I have made. Zero problems, people that treat you like a real customer, they all know me by name! 10 years with the credit union and they NEVER knew my name just my account number. Thank you Independent Bank for my new and welcomed home.
I’ve had a checking account with Mason Independent Bank for years. I am retired with social security and pension. I had two really bad experiences with Independent Bank! The first when I applied for a home loan. I gave them all their documents needed. They would call me and say: “It looks OK but we need a little more info.” That went on for a month! Finally they said that the underwriters could not approve. The second occurred when I applied for an equity loan. Again, I jumped through all the hoops, giving them all the personal info. Again they said and I quote,” we have to study the information because we normally don’t give out equity loans! Saying: Once burnt shame on you! Twice burnt, shame on me! I pulled my checking account that very day! I would advise doing business with this bank!
